Welcome to 2060. A time of technological innovation and progress. A time of new political alliances and as always.....war. Regardless, this is a new age. The lines between flesh and machine are beginning to blur. Humanity is in a crossroads as a global environmental, economic, social, and political crisis has hit the Earth. But new hopes and dreams lie within our Solar System. The sheer scale of wonder and terror awaits humanity in its race to find its place in the cosmos. And with these innovations, combined with an age of crisis, humanity has finally taken the necessary steps to aim for the stars. You are a the leader of a nation. What will you lead your people to? Glory? Defeat? Prosperity? Peace? War? Or Death?

Background Edit

Background (Interplanetary Map Game)

RulesEdit

Basic RulesEdit

  1. Be plausible.
  2. Treat others are you wish to be treated.
  3. Interstellar missions are permitted, but they will be as rare as Moon missions back in the 1960s. Mainly because as it turns out, we already have one large Solar System as our playground.
  4. You can create different political blocs, both on Earth and in space in addition to various other political blocs that already exist.
  5. Colonies outside Earth can declare sovereignty around 2400 - 2500 at earliest.
  6. To colonise other worlds, the necessary infrastructure is required. This means no infrastructure in space or launch pads, no colonies for you.
  7. For more information on how to deal with appropriate spacecraft designs, Delta V maps or the game's science and physics, please consult Atomic Rockets for more information.
  8. Have Fun!

Map RulesEdit

  1. There will be 4 maps. 2 for reference and 2 for in-game use. Be warned: they must be posted under the File: Interplanetary_[insert year here].png.
  2. Use the Delta V maps in the Atomic Rockets website to calculate how much fuel your ships need or just use them for future reference.

2060.0Edit

Preparing launch in T-10, 9, 8, 7, 6, ignition sequence start, 4, 3, 2, 1......and we have a liftoff!

  • As climate change worsens, and wars over water and fertile land explode in some areas of Earth, many space agencies begin to propose colonisation plans to their respective governments.
  • As sea levels continue to rise, whole sections of coastal cities begin to go to the bottom of the ocean, such as areas of London, St. Petersburg, New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and various other cities are affected, although in some regions the flood barriers are able to contain the flooding for a while.
  • Heavy fighting continues along the Nile River as the Nile War continues to rage.
  • Pro-Western Rebels in Venezuela are asking for the States to intervene as the situation continues to worsen for the rebels.
  • Scotland begins to call for diplomatic sanctions against the UK following several various border skirmishes betwen the two nations. The Germanic Union decides to back the move of Scotland to ensure the New Commonwealth does not spread its influence into the European Continent, while India threatens to veto any sanctions against the UK. The Mediterranean Coalition remains neutral on the issue.
  • The US, with its recent annexation of Canada, gains even more natural resources and more people to fuel its economy and reassures itself as the most powerful nation on Earth. China and India, however are booming at a rapid pace, and they are catching up to the United States ever faster.
  • Pakistan and India begin border skirmishes in a desperate struggle for the Indus River Basin.
  • Heavy fighting continues in Bangladesh as parts of the country continue to flood.
  • Tensions begin to rise between Turkey and Kurdistan, as they fight for the disputed region that once belonged to Turkey in the early 21st Century.
  • Tensions continue to rise along the South China Sea, as the PLAN continues to construct artificial islands in the region.

China: We begin military buildup and economic expansion. We begin to invest in Central Asia, and investment in Africa and South America, as our economy continues to grow. With this in mind, we decide to spread our sphere of influence past what we already have and hope to make Turkey join the Eurasian Pact, in order to help them Kurdistan. While this occurs, some scientists at the CNSA decide to propose the construction of the Tiangong II space station, set to orbit Mars. Meanwhile, a small group of Taikonauts is scheduled to head for Titan by 2064, hoping to use this to catch up to the States in space exploration. Meanwhile, we declare support for the Venezuelan government forces in an attempt to use the nation as a deterrent against the States, much like how the USSR used Cuba as a deterrent against the States in the First Cold War. However, focus begins to turn into a new breed of rocket designs to replace the already aging Long March branch of rockets. This new breed of rocket begins to be dubbed as the Divine Chariot or the Shenzhanche rocket, and several proposals for the engine are done, some based on traditional chemical launches, others revolving around a laser thermal launch system. The laser thermal launch system proposes the use of a heat exchange thruster, which works by a laser heating an inert liquid propellant, and using it as a single-stage to orbit rocket. Noting the proposal for the laser thermal rocket being cheaper, the CNSA begins development of the laser thermal version of the Divine Chariot. Construction of the laser batteries begins in the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center, and development of Tiangong II begins. Meanwhile, the PLAN continues to protect China's claims in the South China Sea, and prepares to deal with any threat that comes by our claims.

Vietnam: Vietnam builds up its military. The Vietnamese government begins dealing with the issues of sea level rise; and also invests in the Vietnamese Space Technology Institute along with investing in technology in general.

United Kingdom: We begin to rapidly conscript more and more young men and women into our national armies following the recent tensions with Scotland and the Germanic Confederation. We begin to improve diplomatic relations with the members of the New Commonwealth and with the United States in case war breaks out between us and Scotland in the foreseeable future. We begin to place our soldiers near the border with Scotland, with the end result hopefully being that if war occurs, we can easily conquer them without any major issues on the British Isles. We also declare our full support for the pro-Western Venezuelan rebels and we begin arming them with military supplies. In terms of internal affairs, Prime Minister Anthony White begins enacting national laws that attempt to reduce the amount of pollution in the British Isles and significantly increase the amount of environmentally-friendly resources used. Infrastructure is also improved in major metropolitan areas such as London and Manchester, and the national police force is raised in terms of funding. We offer an official alliance with the United States, France, Portugal, Sweden, and Italy. We also offer trade agreements with Germany, the Netherlands, and South Korea.

  • (MOD) France: Declines.
  • (MOD) Portugal: Declines.
  • (MOD) Sweden: Accepts.
  • (MOD): South Korea: Accepts.
  • (MOD) Netherlands: Accepts.
  • Germany: Accepts.

Germany: We begin military and economic expansion, We begin investing in Scotland and Georgia and ask them to join the Germanic Union. We accept Romania and Hungary in the Germanic Union, due to their strong ties to Germans. We promote moving of Germans with Banat Swabian and Transylvania Saxon to Romania. We install military personnel at the British-Scotish border, in order to prevent the Scottish to attack the UK. The scientists of the GWEA (Germanic Universe Exploration Agency) propose the development of rockets propelled by a sort of large mirrors designed to use solar winds or lasers to propel themselves, called photon sails, and in laser batteries, in order to be able to launch our rockets through a laser thermal launching system. We also want to create a new, cost-efficient rocket-class called 'Wotan' to replace our old 'Jäger' class of rockets. These are to be propelled by nucleo-thermal energy. For this we ask the United States to give us this tech, for which we are ready to pay 11 billion USD. We want to trade with the Eurasian Pact, especially China.

  • American Diplomacy: We accept the offer and give one NERVA engine and the blueprints for 11 billion USD. We also offer that NASA works with the GWEA.
  • German Diplomacy: We agree, but we want to remain independent.
  • Chinese Diplomacy: We effectively agree to your proposal of trade.

India: India militarizes the border with Pakistan. We construct many hydrogen and neutron bombs, in addition to our nuclear bombs. With our situation over water becoming dire, we consider the possibility of a colony in Antarctica. We send an expedition to Antarctica, and set up a settlement, which we call Pani Purava. With water levels rising, we attempt an evacuation of Mumbai, and hope to recover as much of the resources left behind from buildings. We also attempt to build irrigation canals in the farmlands, but we are concerned about them overflowing and flooding. We ask for a trade agreement with the Germanic Union.

  • German Diplomacy: We agree.

Philippines: With sea levels rising, the seat of government has been moved to Baguio. Meanwhile, following the collapse of an authoritarian regime, a socialist, (insert name) has been elected as the new President.

Russia: President Victor Organov is the dictatorial president of Russia. Deciding to start the growth of their country by making it more stable they focus on improving the economy by the readjustment of taxes and interest rates to an up to date system as well as the construction of more roads. We offer to support Turkey in their conflict with Kurdistan as long as they join the Eurasian Pact (MOD). We start supplying weapons to a faction in the Nile Delta war which is pro-east (MOD). Economy and Infrastructure turn.

  • (MOD) Turkey: Declines.
  • (MOD) Ethiopia: Accepts.

New Zealand: With sea levels continue to rise, we continue to begin military and economy expanding to our nation. Meanwhile, some space organizations looks to begin hiring some countries. We believe the joint space agency could be better for New Zealand to join for The Oceanian Space Agency, We start to build some buildings, some battleships and recruiting troops as well. Population continues to rise in New Zealand in one of the cities like Christchurch, Auckland, etc. Some development in the military could be developed some weapons, tanks and some armoured vehicles.

Indonesia: Asks for an alliance with Papua, New Guinea, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand, the Pacific Confederation, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Australia, hoping to create some sort of mega-alliance. We would like to join the OSA. The military is built up for any wars that may occur. A nuclear reactor is starting to be built.

  • New Zealand Diplomacy: We accept the alliance.

Netherlands: The Republic currently has a government led by the PVV and the NNF, with Pieter van Gulik as president. The Republic currently enjoys membership of the Germanic Union. It offers a trade agreement to the USA.

United States: President Andrea Irene D'cruze, the first Hispanic and the first female President of the United States gives a speech to the nation. "My fellow Americans, today is a great day in both American history and Canadian history, for today Canada has become annexed into the United States of America, and our two countries have become one, thus we have become a new nation, the nation of the North American Republic. This new nation, the North American Republic, has more people, more land, more infrastructure, more resources, and a stronger economy to secure the blessings of liberty as well as law and order in order to make this world a better place for everyone. We shall use this increase in manpower and resources to provide jobs and thus fueling the economy and increasing economic growth, which provides an increase in standard of living for everyone as well as expanding the American welfare state so the poor can survive, improve our infrastructure giving funds to education so we can achieve, no matter where we come from, as well as investing into space exploration to secure a better future for our nation. Our superpower status in the world has long been questioned, but now we are a new nation of the new world, and we come into this brave new world as the greatest superpower on Earth, but in order to remain the sole superpower on Earth we must work together United." As a result of the annexation of Canada, President d'Cruze gets a surge of popularity and ensures her remaining the President and there is also a surge of national morale. The annexation of Canada provides more natural resources and more manpower and more jobs, which leads to an economic boom in the United States, and we invest in these industries, as well as infrastructure. Meanwhile, NASA works on furthering its space program.

Brazil: With space tourism and research becoming an increasingly relevant industry, we begin to invest more in our space program. These investments will primarily be used to fund a potential moon mission within 8 years. Other uses will include the building of the first Brazilian space station, as well as increased satellite coverage, in both the civilian and military sectors. The military also undergoes a program for increased funding, with most of the money being focused to develop and maintain a high tech Air Force, as well as a planned aircraft carrier. Our military increases in size, with 950,000 men and women enlisted, and as many as 250,000 ready for immediate combat, though some generals predict the number to be significantly less. We begin to encourage more people to join the armed forces, especially focusing on attracting women, although men still outnumber women 2 to 1. We continue to increase ties with the rest of the South American Economic Union(SAEU) hoping to push through our idea of a mutual defense pact. We also suggest massive plans in all member nations to decrease poverty, trying to usher in an era of a larger and more successful middle class. We immediately implement these plans, and poverty begins to slowly decrease. Most of the decrease in poverty is due to new jobs created in the construction and industrial sectors, as well as other more white collar jobs. In addition, new regulations to preserve the environment are put into place, putting regulations on dumping trash into the ocean, putting taxes on carbon, and limiting the amounts of the Amazon that can be cut down. Although these new regulations are met with some resistance from larger companies, but for the most part the regulations are supported by the public. We ask for closer relations with China and the rest of the Eurasian Pact, as we believe this would help both our economic growth and our military potential. Lastly, we Secretly begin to start a nuclear program, investing in both nuclear weapons and power. Our goal is too have a nuclear weapon built within 4 years, and ask china to help us with the program.

  • Chinese Secret Diplomacy: Accepts, although it sees the 4 year deadline not be viable.

2060.5Edit

  • Supreme Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un dies of old age, and without a successor, the government soon falls into a secession crisis. Within months, this degenerates into a civil war between Kim Jong-Un's generals for control of the government, and South Korea quickly intervenes.
  • Typhoon Ryu hits parts of Southeast Asia, devastating whole sections of the region, with Singapore being completely destroyed in the process as the barriers protecting the city from the rising seas and the storms fail to close.
  • The announcement of the Divine Chariot rockets and their launch system prompts corporations such as SpaceX and Bigelow Aerospace to ask for NASA to develop contracts for similar vehicles.
  • Ethiopia finally overruns Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, and the government flees the city.
  • As the North American Republic forms, some begin to debate about whether the new Republic should focus on domestic policy, foreign policy or space exploration.
  • China Fusion (中国聚变, pronounced Zhōngguó jùbiàn in Chinese), China's official state-owned fusion energy company, decides to sign a contract with the Brazilian government to construct a fusion reactor in Rio de Janeiro.

China: We continue military buildup and economic expansion. We continue to invest in Central Asia, and investment in Africa and South America, as our economy continues to grow. As of later this year, China Fusion decides to sign a contract with the Brazilian government to construct a Deuterium-Tritium fusion reactor in Rio de Janeiro and this becomes a big economic boost to China, allowing our state-owned companies and the country to help spread its economic influence beyond the Eurasian continent. After Turkey's refusal of Russia's proposal to deal with Kurdistan, we decide to step up our game and sponsor a military coup to install a pro-China government in the region. Weapons and munitions begin to be sent to the government of Venezuela, in order to maintain dominance there, as well as Ethiopian forces, whom have just taken Asmara in Eritrea. With the collapse of our ally, North Korea, we decide to keep a close eye on the situation, although some generals propose we intervene now. Unfortunately for them, President Jia Chou decides it would be best to wait until the situation develops, but recommends extreme caution and thus decides to send in any humanitarian aid to refugees to China. Development continues on the Tiangong II station and the Divine Chariot rockets. Meanwhile, search for the recruitment of a new roster of Taikonauts begin for the Titan mission, which is scheduled to be sent in 2064 on board the Xingzhanche, China's ion spacecraft which deployed the first Taikonauts to Mars earlier in the century, and this could be the ship's last mission before being replaced by the Mantianglu, scheduled to be constructed in 2065. Meanwhile, the PLAN continues to protect China's claims in the South China Sea, and prepares to deal with any threat that comes by our claims.

Vietnam: Vietnam builds up its military. The Vietnamese government continues dealing with the issues of sea level rise; and also invests in the Vietnamese Space Technology Institute along with investing in technology in general. Meanwhile, clean up and aid is sent to areas throughout Vietnam that was damaged by the recent Typhoon.

United Kingdom: We continue to patrol the border with Scotland to the north, however after negotiating with Germany we decide to send a majority of our troops back to the south. In terms of laws, the Prime Minister decides to enact even stricter laws completely banning the use of high-polluting substances in public areas. London continues to lose a majority of its coastal population due to flooding. We also continue to support the pro-Western Venezuelan rebels, and we offer to join South Korea's war aginst the collapsing North Koreans. The economy also begins to slightly improve, and national unemployment goes down by 1% this year. We offer multiple trade agreements with the United States, Russia, and Japan. Marijuana is also partially legalised in London and the surrounding buroughs.

  • Russian Diplomacy: We accept a trade agreement.
  • American Diplomacy: We accept the trade agreements.

Russia: We continue the improvement of roads and railways as well as investing in flood defence procedures. Our economy is spurred on by low taxes and government backed investment. We form volunteer brigades to fight in Ethiopia. We request a trade deal with the Germanic Union.

  • German Diplomacy: We accept the trade agreement. We can't answer for the rest of the members of the Germanic Union, as it is an alliance, not a state yet.

Germany: We continue our research in photon sails and laser thermal launching system. We want to establish a trade agreement with Brazil. We secretly ask the Chinese government for cooperation in their space programme. We expand our industry and begin replacing LEDs with the BioLEDs developed by Austria.

  • China Secret Diplomacy: The government of the PRC hereby allows use of the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center for Germanic Union use.
  • Brazilian Diplomacy: we agree to trade with Germany, and hope for warm and mutually beneficial relations in the future.

New Zealand: We expand our military and improving economy. We recruit troops to our military. We build some factories, buildings, roads and rails to our nation to get a good numerous population led to New Zealand. We support UK for a war against the North Koreans. We should be helping them to join the war as soon as possible our army does reach more troops.

We begin to encourage more people to join the armed forces, especially focusing on attracting women, although men still outnumber women two to one. We continue to increase ties with the rest of the South American Economic Union (SAEU) hoping to push through our idea of a mutual defense pact.

  • British Diplomacy: We offer a trade agreement with Brazil.
  • Brazilian Diplomacy: We accept the trade agreement, and hope for good relations in the future.

North American Republic: We intervene in the South Korean invasion of North Korea after the fall of the North Korean government the side of South Korea, hoping to have South Korea annex North Korea. President d'Cruz decides to invest into space research, and proposes legislation in investing in it, for she sees it as the future of the North American Republic, and that building space technology will provide many new jobs and the technology discovered will also benefit the American populace domestically, as well as provide the military with new technology. The President also sees the benefit of the NAR securing these space resources, and thus NASA signs contracts with SpaceX and Bigelow Aerospace. We also have our coastal cities build fortifications to deter flood damage and we give aid in order to help the citizens of our coastal cities.

2061.0Edit

  • In Mexico, the North America First Party is formed by a group of annexationist Mexicans, seeing the annexation of mexico by North America as a solution to its problems and quickly gain some support.
  • Heavy fighting continues between North Korean generals and the US-South Korean forces, as the North Korean Civil War continues.
  • Saudi Arabia and its neighbours, following various negotiations in Riyadh decide to intervene to help Eritrean Muslims.
  • NASA, with help from SpaceX and Bigelow Aerospace contracts announce the Eagle branch of laser thermal rockets, similar in function and purpose to the Chinese Divine Chariot rockets.
  • China Fusion's investment on Brazil opens up huge economic opportunities for the nation, as the company now offers to open a deuterium-tritium fusion power plant in Brasilia.
  • Various humanitarian missions are sent to look for survivors in the remains of Singapore, while affected nations such as Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines begin to rebuild.
  • A series of minor skirmishes occur over the Senkaku Islands between the Japanese Self-Defence Forces and the PLA Navy, as both sides begin to blame each other for the attacks.

China: We continue military buildup and economic expansion. We continue to invest in Central Asia, and investment in Africa and South America, as our economy continues to grow. As of early this year, China Fusion decides to sign another contract with the Brazilian government to construct a Deuterium-Tritium fusion reactor in Brasilia and helping the Brazilian economy in the process. Our government continues to plan our military coup on Turkey, and the operation is code named by the MSS, Operation: Yaoguai. Weapons and munitions continue to be sent to the government of Venezuela, in order to maintain dominance there, as well as Ethiopian forces We condemn the move of the Saudis and threaten to directly intervene in Ethiopia's behalf with full lethal force from the PLA. President Chou officially decides to send troops into North Korea, trying to help take control of the region and establish a government in the region friendlier to Beijing than the Kims were. Development continues on the Tiangong II station and the Divine Chariot rockets. The PLA considers the latest incident over the Senkaku Islands as an act of war, but however, President Chou makes it clear to his generals that sparking such a situation would mean a war against the North American Republic, the results of which would be catastrophic, and thus he decides to call for negotiations with Japan in neutral ground, which will be up to the negotiating parties. As of this point, the Tiangong II station is scheduled for launch as early as 2068, and the Divine Chariot rockets are scheduled to be completed by 2065.

Meanwhile, clean up and aid is sent to areas throughout Vietnam that was damaged by the recent Typhoon and rebuilding begins.

Russia: We continue the expansion of infrastructure and economy. We build more railways and roads as well as continuing a policy of Laissez faire .We join in with the Chinese efforts to start a military coup in Turkey and threaten an attack on Saudi Arabia if they do not pull out. We send special forces into Ethiopia and set up training camps and start arming their new armies.

New Zealand: We continue to make improvement of economy and military. More railways and roads built in our nation. We build more buildings, fortresses and towers. Naval ships, begins to be constructed. Meanwhile, a lot of heavy fighting situation at North Korean Civil War, we join South Korean forces to help them out by sending 250,000.

United Kingdom: We continue to send more soldiers from the border with Scotland to the south in order to ease tensions. Our Prime Minister also passes a law officially recognising the Republic of Scotland as an independent state from the United Kingdom, which is to be officially ratified in 2062. In terms of global affairs, we continue to support the pro-Western Venezuelan rebels by sending them military supplies and food rations, and we do the same thing with the South Korean troops in the North Korean Civil War. In terms of internal affairs, we continue to try to reduce overall pollution in the British Isles, and national unemployment continues to decrease. We also begin to financially support all that were affected by Typhoon Ryu.

Netherlands: After pushing by several organizations, 6 months from now, the Dutch people will vote about membership of the Germanic Union.

We begin to encourage more people to join the armed forces, especially focusing on attracting women, although men still outnumber women two to one. We continue to increase ties with the rest of the South American Economic Union (SAEU) hoping to push through our idea of a mutual defense pact. Our goal is to have a nuclear weapon built within 4 years, and ask china to help us with the program. End Secret We agree to China's proposal to build a deuterium-tritium fusion power plant in Brasilia.

North American Republic: President Andrea Irene D'cruze is officially sworn in for her second term as the President of the United States and the first term as the President of the North American Republic, being reelected as a result of her massive popularity for signing legislation creating the NAR and for pushing for space funding, which resulted in the Eagle wing of laser thermal rockets and many new jobs for Americans, resulting in higher employment and thus more spending and an economic boom in the NAR, resulting in industry and infrastructure expanding. Because of this, President d'Cruze pushes for legislation in Congress to approriate more funding in developing the Eagle wing even further. In foreign policy, the NAR increases its involvement in the North Korean Civil War, with South Korea having 1 million troops to the war and the NAR sends 500,000 troops, 250,000 troops from the USA and 250,000 troops from Canada with the objective to help South Korea conquer Pyongyang and annex North Korea to one Korea once again. The NAR supports the North America first party in Mexico and sends humanitarian aid and missions to Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines. We join in the negotiations over the Sengoku Islands and thank both parties, China and Japan for taking a peaceful route in the dispute.

PLA generals have an estimated 1,000,000 troops deployed to North Korea. Development continues on the Tiangong II station and the Divine Chariot rockets. Meanwhile, negotiations continue over the Senkaku Islands, with our diplomats still thinking of a deal. As of this point, the Tiangong II station is scheduled for launch as early as 2068, and the Divine Chariot rockets are scheduled to be completed by 2065. Brazil: With space tourism and research becoming an increasingly relevant industry, we begin to invest more in our space program. Our goal is to have a nuclear weapon built within 4 years, and ask China to help us with the program. End Secret We agree to China's proposal to build a deuterium-tritium fusion power plant in Brasilia. We send aid to survivors in Singapore, as well as a small peace keeping force of 75 military personal. We also take immediate action against Venezuelan Pro-western Rebels within our borders, and deploy 6,000 troops to fight them, while an additional 4,000 are sent to fight with the Venezuelan government. We request military assistance from the SAEU in order to combat this issue more completely.

United Kingdom: Following the recent military interventions into Ethiopia for their recent aggression towards neighboring countries, we decide to also intervene and send 15,000 troops into Eritrea with the end goal of hopefully humbling Ethiopia's government. We also officially declare an end to the conflict with Scotland, with only around 300 to 500 men still on the border with the country simply for protection reasons. With the recent military coup in Turkey, we and the rest of the members of the New Commonwealth declare multiple trade sanctions on the pro-Chinese government and secretly fund pro-Western rebels. We also warn the Chinese government to not intervene in European affairs, as we believe they were the main ones responsible for this coup. We offer Russia a temporary defensive pact, and we offer Nigeria multiple trade agreements.

  • Russian Dip: We refuse the defensive pact and pass a bill stating that we will mirror New Commonwealth sanctions on China, on the New Commonwealth. What happened in Turkey is what has happened and we will personally protect the legitimate government.

Australia: (Sorry for not posting last turns, I didn't know that this game had even started) We offer an Oceana Space Agensy to New Zealand and any other countries which are in Oceana. We decide to remain neutral in any over sea conflicts which are happening at this time. We begin researching into nuclear power, we wish for New Zealand to help us in it. We build our infrastructure across Australia. We build our economy. We wish a trade pact with any country which would like one. We remain close to Britain. We build more houses and improve to quality of life. We would like America to help us with our growth.

  • British Diplomacy: We offer trade agreements with Australia.
  • Australian Dip: We accept your offer.

Netherlands: The Dutch people have voted for leaving the Germanic Union and as such the Netherlands does so. It begins sending spies to infiltrate the governments of China, Russia, Turkey, Germany and UK.

Philippines: Following the typhoon, rebuilding operations immediately begin. Meanwhile President [insert name] begins to unpack his sweeping socialistic reform package. To increase food production, and decongest major cities, many slum residents, or squatters, were relocated to the idle countryside. Agrarian reform continues, and the 'business aristocracy' begins to be dismantled by nationalizing the biggest corporations, and stop conversion of farmland into luxury resorts, and  to decrease poverty, trying to usher in an era of a larger and more successful middle class. We immediately implement these plans, and poverty begins to slowly decrease. Most of the decrease in poverty is due to new jobs created in the construction and industrial sectors, as well as other more white collar jobs.

New Zealand: We continue to improve infrastructure and technology. We make an agreement to join Oceana Space Agency. We offer other countries to join the Joint Space Agency to make a better exploration to the space. Also we accept Australia to help them researching nuclear power, whilst we recruit more troops and modernize buildings. Population grows up in capital city of Christchurch, though Auckland as well. The industry, meanwhile, keeps up the good work and plan for a nuclear power. So far it will be planned until 2063.

Germany: We intercept the Dutch spies in our government, however, we only put them in preventive arrest. We offer the Netherlands a deal, in which they are able to be co-leaders with Germany. The Dutch government is also given the freedom to pass on some Germanic Union laws and an opt-out to a hypothetical unification of the Germanic Union. We also point out that the Dutch were the second-most powerful in the Germanic Union, and benefited from Germany's industrial and economic might. However, we still want friendly relations with the nation and we send back the spies to the Netherlands as a sign that we do not want hostility. We continue the development of our space technologies, now without Dutch help.

North American Republic: We continue fighting in North Korea, making advances to Pyongyang with RoK forces, and we support pro-western rebels in South America and in Turkey, giving them aid and supplies. In response to the border incident, we appologize to the people who were shot, and give them compensation, even allowing them to cross our border. We train border enforcement to properly handle refugees and legislation is pushed and passed to reform immigration, making it easier for climate refugees to legally enter the NAR, especially skilled workers. Funding for the Eagle project also continues, which continues to make more jobs and strengthen the economy as well as funding for the North America First Party in Mexico.

2062.0Edit

Sorry about the delay, gentlemen. Algorithm issues.

  • As North Korean forces begin to decay with the generals fighting the PLA, the joint RoK-NAR force, and each other, the 2 advancing forces finally reach Pyonyang. (Placeholder: May depend on algorithm results).
  • Ethiopian forces begin a push into South Sudan, in order to ensure that the nation can maintain dominance in Sudan.
  • While legislation is passed in Congress regarding the recent flow of refugees, the conservative elements of the North American Republic begin to send Congress into partisan gridlock, with them having a slight minority as of 2 years ago, and just now regaining the majority.
  • The pro-Western rebels in Venezuela officially announce the establishment of permanent military operations in Colombia and Northern Brazil as the war begins to spill over into other nations.
  • Sanctions against Turkey are vetoed by UN Security Council permanent members Russia and China.
  • The North America First Party continues to gain popularity in Mexico.
  • A deal is finally reached over the Senkaku Islands, with control being sent to a UN force and China finally giving up its claims on the Senkaku Islands, feeling that reconciliation should be given to the Japanese.
  • North Korea got f*cked up badly. Like they collapsed. Badly. They're dead.

France :we leave the Mediterranean alliance and we join the Germanic Union i also rename Guyana to from an overseas region to New South Quebec

  • Not happening.

China: We continue military buildup and economic expansion. We continue to invest in Central Asia, and investment in Africa and South America, as our economy continues to grow. China Fusion continues to construct Deuterium-Tritium fusion reactors in Brazil. Weapons and munitions continue to be sent to the government of Venezuela, in order to maintain dominance there, as well as Ethiopian forces. Our generals in North Korea finally reach Pyongyang, and heavy fighting begins against North Korean forces. Development continues on the Tiangong II station and the Divine Chariot rockets. Meanwhile, negotiations have finally concluded over the Senkaku Islands, with our government proposing the islands to be administered as a UN-dominated territory (as the islands are about to sink to the bottom nonetheless), and with Japan having the islands back to them within the next year. As of this point, the Tiangong II station is scheduled for launch as early as 2068, and the Divine Chariot rockets are scheduled to be completed by 2065. Meanwhile, the PLAN continues to protect China's claims in the South China Sea, and prepares to deal with any threat that comes by our claims.

Russian Dip: We offer to work together technologically and surveying with China on their space program.

United Kingdom: We continue to improve our infrastructure and economy. In Ethiopia, our 15,000 soldiers continue to fight in favor of the Eritrean rebel forces. The law recognising the Republic of Scotland as a sovereign state separate from the United Kingdom is ratified, and we offer trade agreements with the nation. Following the recent vetoes against our proposed sanctions against the pro-Chinese Turkish government, we send fifteen destroyers and two airship carriers under the leadership of Vice Admiral Thomas Bordsley to the coast of Saint Petersburg, and we begin to blockade the port in protest of the recent veto. Meanwhile, we end our support of the pro-Western Venezuelan rebels in order to focus more on internal issues.

Russia: The Russian government conscious of rising international tensions starts to expand it's military as it's main goal. We take our military from 750,000 to 800,000 and start to invest more money in the air force. We warn the UK, stop this blockade or we consider it an act of war. We propose an alliance with the Germanic Union against the UK.

  • British Diplomacy: We refuse to end our blockade against the Russians until they accept our sanctions against the illegitimate Turkish government.
  • Russian aircraft attack from bases in Russia against the British fleet in the Gulf of Finland targeting the carrier decks before be followed up later on by the elimination of the escorts. Only the surrender of the fleet will be accepted.
  • Vice Admiral Bordsley and his blockade fleet refuse to surrender, and begins to send missiles at the port of Saint Petersburg, while aircraft from the British Isles begin to intervene in the blockade and start to bomb the city as well.

We will not accept Britain interfering in other nation's affairs, thus we attack the British blockade with our troops from Tallinn and Helsinki. We expect them to retreat. We repeat that we do this to have peace in the world, and for that, someone must intervene. We do not take part in the Russian attacks on the British military. We continue the development of our space technologies, now without Dutch help. We also want to buy Kaliningrad Oblast for 2,5 billion marks, and Russia will keep their military and space installations. We also beg everyone to take part at the Tallinn Conference

  • British Diplomacy: We warn Germany to not bomb our blockade fleet, or else we shall begin air bombing Berlin and other major cities.
  • Russian Dip: We will sell Kaliningrad Oblast for the proposed sum and we will keep our bases.

Vietnam: Vietnam builds up its military. The Vietnamese government continues dealing with the issues of sea level rise; and also invests in the Vietnamese Space Technology Institute along with investing in technology in general. Meanwhile, clean up and aid is sent to areas throughout Vietnam that was damaged by the recent Typhoon and rebuilding continues.

We also take immediate action against Venezuelan Pro-western Rebels within our borders, and deploy 36,000 troops to fight them, while an additional 24,000 are sent to fight with the Venezuelan government. We request military assistance from the SAEU in order to combat this issue more completely.

  • German Diplomacy: We propose a trade deal.
  • Brazilian Diplomacy: we agree to a trade deal.

New Zealand: We continue to recruit more troops in the military. We help Singapore to rebuild the city by sending aid to them, so far we invest the technology. We support Ethiopia to their war dominance as they push to South Sudan. Meanwhile, we construct more buildings, more railways and more roads for a complete transport like Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington etc. We hope to join Oceana Space Agency and looking to invite the Oceanian nations to join the space agency.

2062.5Edit

  • North Korea effectively falls under joint PLA-RoK/NAR control. Negotiations begin in Taipei to handle the final fate of the nation.
  • The UN begins its 1 year occupation of the Senkaku Islands until an appropriate government is set in place by Japan.
  • The Venezuelan rebels begin committing terrorist actions against the Brazilian government in response to military operations commited against them in the region.

  • Despite the NAR's best efforts, several additional incidents occur along the Mexican-NAR Border.
  • Protests break out across Russia protesting the Punitist plutocracy in the country.

China: We continue military buildup and economic expansion. We continue to invest in Central Asia, and investment in Africa and South America, as our economy continues to grow. China Fusion completes the first Deuterium-Tritium reactor in Rio de Janeiro while Brasilia's reactor continues construction. Weapons and munitions continue to be sent to the government of Venezuela, in order to maintain dominance there, as well as Ethiopian forces. Negotiations begin in Pyongyang with the joint-Rok/NAR force to decide the final fate of North Korea.  Development continues on the Tiangong II station and the Divine Chariot rockets. Meanwhile, we finally hand control over the Senkaku Islands to the UN, as they begin their own patrol over the region.

Germany: We orchestrate in secret an attack by French troops on Karlsruhe. These are actually recruited Belgian soldiers. End secret. We begin a major Blitzkrieg invasion of France and give Brazil the permission to attack French Guyana. We pressure the Netherlands into joining by the terms set last year, and we support the New Afrikaner state in Africa, sending aid through our ally Namibia. We warn of France's aggression and make it clear that this state must be taken down. Our troops count to 2 million, with our allies coming in from Switzerland and Belgium.

  • Russian Dip: We offer to work together on a space agency.
  • German Dip: We agree and propose Königsberg (Kaliningrad) as the site.
  • France im going to let all people with my land to fight.

New Zealand: We continue to improve military and economy. We recruit more troops to the army. We helped Indonesia to build nuclear power for a good industry. Thus we build nuclear power too. We expect some Oceanian nations still to join Oceana Space Agency for good income. The industry keeps good stake. We continue to build railways, roads and subway stations. Population grows at Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. The election wasn't decided yet.

Russia: Russian secret police infiltrate the protesters and then create a fake offshoot of one of the largest protest groups and take a number of school children hostages threatening to kill them if not given arms. When the Russians agree to give the undercover men, arms the children are then killed and this is used to turn public opinion against the protesters. A rigged referendum is held to make people agree to harsh measures outlawing protests and police crack down hard on the protests. They then start a campaign of both propaganda indoctrination that everything is fine while constantly arresting random people and claiming they are terrorists. All the while they continue to expand the military enlarging the force size from 800,000 to 825,000 troops and increasing the number of tanks and aircraft. We start funding research into space shuttles.

We request military assistance from the SAEU in order to combat this issue more completely. We also strongly support the German invasion of France, however, we will agree not to attack France if they turn over all their overseas territory to Brazilian jurisdiction.

United Kingdom: Following the Tullinn Conference and the absolute failure that was the British blockade of Saint Petersburg, Prime Minister Anthony White resigns from his position in August of this year and is temporary replaced by his Deputy Prime Minister Joseph Chester until a general election can be held. Following his inauguration, we begin to focus on improving the national infrastructure and economy. We also begin to focus on space exploration, and we start construction of the Churchill National Space Center near Manchester. Due to this, our national economy starts to slightly increase and national unemployment is starting to significantly decrease. More pollution laws are also put into place completely banning dumping trash into bodies of water, and significantly raising the littering fee. We also begin to pull out our troops in Ethiopia since the Ethiopians are constantly winning battles and occupying most of central Africa, and we encourage the Saudis to do the same. More importantly, we offer a temporary non-aggression pact with Russia after the Saint Petersburg Blockade in order to improve relations, and we offer trade agreements with Spain and Portugal.

  • 'Russian Dip: 'Why not?

Vietnam: Vietnam builds up its military. The Vietnamese government continues dealing with the issues of sea level rise; and also invests in the Vietnamese Space Technology Institute along with investing in technology in general. Meanwhile, clean up and aid is sent to areas throughout Vietnam that was damaged by the recent Typhoon and rebuilding continues.

Republic of Korea: We invest in new technology, trying to keep our place as the most innovative country. We begin increasing productivity and are determined to surpass Japan as the second largest East Asian economy. We begin to encourage consumption to wean ourselves from our export-oriented economic policies. Pro-natal policies and immigration policies (with most immigrants coming from China and Japan) balance out our population composition and help remove the burden of a rapidly ageing population. We continue invading North Korea with our advance technology, and we immediately experience the effects of a larger labor pool and access to great mineral wealth. Ace I will rape you with my Unified Korea. And don't underestimate me cause currently South Korea is an emerging power.

Philippines: President (insert name) continues his reforms, and rehabilitation from the damage of the typhoon. We also seek interest in cooperation with the Republic of Korea for advancing military and industrial technology. More factories and corporations are nationalized, allowing greater control of the economy, and inviting a bigger labor pool, as the government now has control over wages. Meanwhile, we enlist college dropouts, undergraduates, and jobless youths for the Guardia Nacional, which means "National Guard", the ruling party's genderarmerie.

Our goal is to have a nuclear weapon built within 4 years, and ask china to help us with the program. End Secret We agree to China's proposal to build a deuterium-tritium fusion power plant in Brasilia. We send aid to survivors in Singapore, hoping to rebuild the city as much as possible. We also take immediate action against Venezuelan Pro-western Rebels within our borders, and deploy 36,000 troops to fight them, while an additional 24,000 are sent to fight with the Venezuelan government. We request military assistance from the SAEU in order to combat this issue more completely. We also strongly support the German invasion of France, however, we will agree not to attack France if they turn over all their overseas territory to Brazilian jurisdiction.

United Kingdom: A general election is finally held, and Labour Party candidate Michael Geoffrey is inaugurated as the new Prime Minister of the UK. The national economy and infrastructure continues to be improved, and we begin to send military aid to the Germans to help them with their invasion of France. Taxes are also temporary increased by 6% for all citizens, and the national minimum wage is significantly raised. We offer an alliance to Brazil, Germany, and the Netherlands.

  • German Dip: We'd do it, however many nations in the Germanic Union oppose this. We offer a mutual protection against other aggression.

Germany: We push farther in the South with 2 million German troops, plus the Belgian, Swiss and Austrian amry, which brings it to almost 2,200,000 Germanic Union troops. We continue studying our photon sails. We ask the Netherlands to join the GU under the agreed terms. The opinion of the UK rises in Germany, however India is not very popular, thus many wish the UK to join the Germanic Union, and to leave the New Commonwealth. A monarchist surge is noted in many parts of the Germanic Union. We propose a referendum to decide the fate of this proposal, which is to be held in the entire Germanic Union. We support the Afrikaner state and ask them to join the Germanic Union.

Meanwhile, we enlist college dropouts, undergraduates, and jobless youths for the Guardia Nacional, which means "National Guard", the ruling party's gendemerie. Mid-term elections for legislative seats begin, and  most of the victors are his supporters. He then uses this to his opportunity, increasing his political influence to reoganize the governmental structure. Using this power, he calls constitutional convention for amendments on the constitution, catering major reforms, regarding corruption and social injustice, and criminality., and submitted the new draft before Congress. (RNG 1-5 rejected 6-10 approved) We continue to extract oil and sell it to the countries in need but the government saw how much energy is essential, we start to search for alternative source of energy. To protect our country from countries jealous from our oil supplies, we continue build up our military. In an attempt to salvage moral stability, and with the increasing number of young delinquents, reformatory schools are established throughout the country.

New Zealand: We invest the technology and expand the military. Meanwhile, the population continues to grow with more people at Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. Indeed more troops joining the military and recruiting. The industry keeps advancing. We still aren't joining any organizations but it'll be planned in future.

2063.5Edit

  • A huge revolt breaks out in Quebec, New Brunswick and parts of Ontario, as many Quebecois and Acadian French people see the non-acting in the German-French conflict as supporting a hateful population. The rebels wish to establish an independent nation
  • Brazilian forces take French Polynesia and the French Antilles.
  • The North America First party wins the elections in Mexico, thus many wish for the annexation of Mexico in to the NAR.
  • The Eritrean-Ethiopian War intensifies, as it slowly turns into a pan-African war, due to Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia and Somaliland join the fighting.
  • Massive protests against the Chinese and Russian governments break out, with in Russia going as far as a bomb exploding in the Kremlin, killing many government officials.

Germany: We continue our invasion, pushing for Bordeaux and Lyon. We continue our space research, now a little halted due to the 'unexpected' invasion. The monarchist elections win with a huge majority, as now many nations reinstating the monarchy, including us. Kaiser Wilhelm III is crowned in Aachen.

New Zealand: We continue to recruit more troops. Investment on technology is investing. Meanwhile, during the plan of Oceanian Space Agency, the plan could take a while. Oceanian Space Agency requires more Oceanian nations to join this joint space organization. It is likely to happen but no words yet to be announced. Military expansion is expanding.

Russia: As oil prices rise we start investing in green energy instead and hope to reduce our reliance on oil. We continue harsh actions against dissenters of the regime and propose an end to the Nile war as we see it spiral out of control (MOD response)

  • Eritrea (MOD): We propose the Mascat conference, to end the conflict.
  • Ethiopia (MOD): We will take part at the conference.

We support separatist movements in Russia and once they become independent, we try to incorporate them into our sphere of influence. We demand the primarily Korean regions of Manchuria to be handed over to us.

To improve our military, an executive decree is released introducing a compulsory 2-year military service when one turns 18. We also start developing homemade assault rifles and other arms, to reduce relliance on foreign imports. Meanwhile, we continue college dropouts, undergraduates, and jobless youths for the Guardia Nacional, which means "National Guard", the ruling party's gendarmerie. Mid-term elections for legislative seats begin, and  most of the victors are his supporters. He then uses this to his opporunity, incresing his political influence to reoganize the governmental structure. Using this power, he calls constitutional convention for amendments on the constitution, catering major reforms, regarding corruption and social injustice, and criminality, and submitted the new draft before Congress, which it approved. To protect our country from countries jealous from our oil supplies, we continue build up our military. In an attempt to salvage moral stabilty, and with the increasing number of young delinquents, reformatory schools are established throughout the country. More factories are built. We invite Japanese military scientists and Korean industrial and electronic scientists to work for us. Meanwhile a surge of militaristic irrendentism, that envisions a "Greater Philippines", which would include North Borneo, the South China Sea islets, Palau, and Micronesia, begins to bloom. The irredentist movement to take Sabah grows. SECRET: We begin to draft a plan for an invasion of North Borneo (Sabah). Intel groups are sent  there. we also begin to train a batallion for that purpose, and scours the Muslim POWs for a faked attack, to codenamed Operation Jabidah II (named for a similar op that failed). A customer in Kota Kinabalu bought some Malaysian military unforms, for use in the said operation. Some agents, disguised as Islamist militiamen begin to foray an island in the southern part of the coutnry, as part of a top secret operation for retaking Notrh Borneo.

Germany: We combat the Paris Uprising and propose the French government a peace deal. We combat the floods and do not recognize Quebec and Acadia, as we see them as an integral part of the NAR. We ask the Chinese government to be able to use their space station..

We demand the primarily Korean regions of Manchuria to be handed over to us.

  • "support separatist movements in Russia and once they become independent, we try to incorporate them into our sphere of influence." nothing is trying for independence

Russia: We set of a number of random bombs in Moscow killing civilians. We use this as an excuse to claim the protesters are terrorists and launch harsh actions against them such as seizure of property and executing their leaders on fake charges. All the while we continue building our army and keep working on our space program. We encourage all cars to use green energy in exchange for a tax cut.

New Zealand: We develop more weapons, as the factories develop some tanks and air force planes in hangars. According to the Space Agency of Oceania, the countries like Papua New Guinea and Pacific Confederation still yet to join the space organization. As we invest the new technology, we might conclude a plan building missiles and space shuttles. It will increase much better going for an space exploration. So far the population grows at Christchurch.

  • Papua dip (MOD): We join the SAO
  • Pacific dip (MOD): We join the SAO
  • Is Australia already in the SAO? - AM

Brazil: With space tourism and research becoming an increasingly relevant industry, we begin to invest more in our space program. China: We continue military buildup and economic expansion. We continue to invest in Central Asia, and investment in Africa and South America, as our economy continues to grow. China Fusion completes the first Deuterium-Tritium reactor in Rio de Janeiro along with Brasilia's reactor. China Fusion, to deal with recent events in the Three Georges Dam power shortage, decides to commence construction of various nuclear fusion reactors in areas affected. Weapons and munitions continue to be sent to the government of Venezuela, in order to maintain dominance there, as well as Ethiopian forces. Development continues on the Tiangong II station and the Divine Chariot rockets. As of this point, the Tiangong II station is scheduled for launch as early as 2068, and the Divine Chariot rockets are scheduled to be completed by 2065. Meanwhile, our Titan mission is launched to Titan with the Taikonauts docking onboard the Xingzhanche, which starts the ion thrusters and heads to Saturn in 101 days (the speed is 120 km/s in Delta V). In law enforcement news, a major crackdown begins on protesters, as tanks begin to be deployed by the PLA in Beijing, along with death squads to crack down on protesters, trying to use similar tactics to Tiangamen Square more than half a century ago. Meanwhile, the PLAN continues to protect China's claims in the South China Sea, and prepares to deal with any threat that comes by our claims.

2064.5 Edit

  • France surrenders due to the fall of Paris. Occitania, Brittany and Normandy become independent, and Germany, Belgium and Switzerland gain territory. Corsica is placed under direct Germanic Union control.
  • The French exodus starts, with many French leaving for Quebec and Acadia. This gives a huge population boost to these regions.
  • The drought is over, however, many people in Africa, Asia and the Americas died, with the estimates in millions.
  • A huge earthquake of 9,2 Richter devastates China, leaving many dead and homeless. The Three Gorges Dam suffered damage.
  • The War of the Nile ended, with South Sudan and Ethiopia winning
  • The manned mission to Titan passes Mars by, and reports an asteroid that they claim is an alien space ship.

Russia: We continue fake terrorist attacks and use it as an excuse to deal with protesters violently. We build our army and air force as well as ask Germany to help us join construct a mission to set up an orbital station.

New Zealand: We continue to strength our economy more and continue to recruit more troops in the military thus expanding military and constructing more tanks. At the Space Agency of Oceania, we're grateful to hear Papua New Guinea, Pacific Confederation and Australia (which they joined already SAO we believe), to join the space organisation, this provides for a good space exploration. The space shuttles and missiles could be completed in 2065. In the meantime the navy proves more constructed ships can be built.

Republic of Korea: We invest in new technology, trying to keep our place as the most innovative country. We begin increasing productivity and surpass stagnating Japan as the second largest East Asian economy. We begin to encourage consumption to wean ourselves from our export-oriented economic policies. Pro-natal policies and more open immigration policies (with most immigrants coming from China and Japan) balance out our population composition and help remove the burden of a rapidly ageing population. We support separatist and nationalist movements in Northeast Russia and the poorer interior regions (such as Sichuan, Tibet, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Guangxi) of China as well as Guangdong and Taiwan (why the fuck Russia and China haven't fragmented already?).

Empire of Japan: After many years of isolationism, we reopen to the world. We begin to combat the economic stagnation currently rife in our country. Emperor Hirahito attends an opening of a newly-elected Parliament. Newly elected Democrat Prime Minister Takako Matsuyama declares in his opening speech that his government will reverse the faltering situation in the Empire today and promises that Japan will be great again! In order to begin catching up with our neighbours, the Government begins subsidising technology firms such as vehicle manufacturers and computer-related companies. Also, the Government proposes moving the capital to Kyoto or Osaka, for fear of Tokyo's risk of sinking amid rising sea levels.

Philippines: President Leopold Valento, after the disastrous drought that caused a local stock market crash, begins to unveil his true colours. Under the pretense of rehabilitation from the damage of the drought, begins a massive confiscation of agricultural monopolies, and nationalise bank assets, kicking out some major banks like CitiBank and HSBC in the process. We also seek interest in cooperation with the Republic of Korea for advancing military and industrial technology. More factories and corporations are nationalised, allowing greater control of the economy, and inviting a bigger labor pool, as the government now has control over wages. To improve our military, an executive decree is released introducing a compulsory 2-year military service when one turns 18. We also start developing homemade assault rifles and other arms, to reduce reliance on foreign imports. Using this power, he calls constitutional convention for amendments on the constitution, catering major reforms, regarding corruption and social injustice, and criminality, and submitted the new draft before Congress, which it approved. This new constitution marks the steer towards, first to democratic socialist, then into more Marxist ideals. We continue to extract oil and sell it to the countries in need but the government saw how much energy is essential, we start to search for alternative source of energy. To protect our country from countries jealous from our oil supplies, we continue build up our military. In an attempt to salvage moral stability, and with the increasing number of young delinquents, reformatory schools are established throughout the country. More factories are built.
