The National Democratic Neubayer Workers' Party (German: Nationaldemokratische Neubayerische Arbeiterpartei), commonly referred to as the Nadem Party (Nadempartei), is a major political party in Neubayern which was founded in late 1025 as a splinter party of the Democratic Unity Front.
The party emerged after prolonged ideological infighting in the Democratic Unity Front after then-Reichsleiter Masako Akira began her fourth term as Reichsleiter in 1023. Led by Wilhelm Währing, the DEN members who would become part of the Nadem Party believed that Akira was using her powers to make Neubayern dangerously dependent on the Orientalias, particularly the communist North Orientalia. As Währing and his associates were strongly anti-Orientalian, anti-communist, and wished for the country to become more self-reliant, they chose to separate from the DEN and form their own political party. The Nadem Party was registered with the Imperial Electoral Commission on 1st January 1026.
The Nadem Party was banned on the authority of Kaiserin Helena herself following the 5th April Nadem riots in 1034. Despite this, the popularity and membership of the party continued to grow. In 1036, Nadem supporters saw the Socialist Party as an inadequate but necessary replacement for the Nadems, and as such the SPN was elected. However, the Socialist government thereafter began a massive propaganda campaign to curb the growth of the dangerous Nadem Party. It was ultimately successful, and popularity began to return to the government and the monarchy.
